Clonex 50ml – Gel for faster rooting of cuttings
Clonex is one of Growth Technology’s most recognizable products, and at the same time synonymous with rooting agent for cuttings (clones). Clonex was the first such product on the market in the form of a gel that adheres better to the stem and thus significantly improves cloning performance. It is useful in most propagation media, from rockwool cubes and root riot to soil and jiffy tablets.
◦ Clonex drastically increases the percentage of successful rooting
◦ Increases the number of roots
◦ Prevents rotting and mold growth
◦ Extremely efficient
Usage:
Warning:
◦ Pour the required amount of Clonex gel into a suitable container
◦ At the end of the work, the remaining Clonex gel 50ml must not be poured back into the original bottle but must be thrown away
◦ The plants must be in a humid room at a temperature of 21 to 24°C
◦ For successful rooting, it is best to place the cuttings in a propagator
◦ A suitable part of the plant with at least 4 leaves is cut diagonally with a clean, sharp blade (razor, scalpel)
◦ On two sides of the stem, from the cut to a height of approx. 1 cm, rub the stem with a sharp blade to remove/wound the upper layer of the stem. If the procedure is carried out correctly and only the uppermost layer of the stem is removed (scratched), roots will quickly sprout from these “wounds”, the percentage of successful rooting will be higher, and there will be many more roots.
◦ Dip the stem in Clonex and stick it approx. 1.5 cm deep directly into a cube of rock wool, or even better, into Root Riot.
◦ After cloning, place the plants in the propagator, spray them with water and cover them.
◦ Since the cuttings do not get water from the roots, they can only get it through the leaves, so they are kept in a propagator at high humidity and a moderate temperature (21-24°C). The ventilation holes, if the propagator has them, are closed so that condensation forms inside it.
◦ Water must not stagnate at the bottom of the propagator. Cubes with cuttings must be drained so that the young roots can get a large amount of air. If there is too much water, the roots will start to rot. This can be avoided by placing the tray with cubes (say with pencils), or by sprinkling perlite on the bottom and placing individual cubes of rock wool on it.
◦ Once the roots appear, the plants can be moved to larger rockwool cubes, or directly into a hydroponic system or organic substrate.
Features:
◦ Liquid agent (gel) for rooting cuttings

(Indolylbutyric acid and Benzisothiazolinone)
Warning:
◦ May cause an allergic reaction
◦ It is best to use gloves when working with Clonex gel
◦ Hands must be thoroughly washed after finishing work
◦ Follow the instructions for use
