THC Content Analysis

Laboratory analysis allows for the precise determination of different forms of THC, including:

◦ THCA (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid), a non-psychoactive form that is converted to delta-9 THC by heating (decarboxylation).
◦ THCV (tetrahydrocannabivarin), a cannabinoid with structural similarity to THC, which can act similarly to THC at low concentrations, but at higher concentrations has potential appetite suppressant effects and a different pharmacological profile.
